Batcheler, a multi-talented artist, writes, records, and plays every instrument on his tracks, embodying a DIY ethos that reflects a deep connection to his music. His songs are characterized by personal lyrics, melodic guitar lines, and a vocal delivery that can flow from powerful to intimate. While Batcheler’s musical foundation is in pop/rock, his work is infused with folk influences from his time performing in the Midwest.
“Music has always been a way for me to tell stories, to connect with people on a deeper level,” says Batcheler. “Growing up in Manchester, I was surrounded by a rich musical history, but I was also drawn to the boldness of artists like Queen and Prince, who weren’t afraid to push boundaries. Moving among a half-dozen U.S. states since – with a home base now firmly rooted in the Midwest – has brought its own set of influences, and
I think that blend of experiences comes through in my music.”
Batcheler’s latest release, [Falling Together], showcases his unique ability to blend these influences while staying true to his singer/songwriter roots.
