Describing the story behind the song
There was this woman who was wonderfully beautiful and very, very nice who I just adored. We got along so well and did so many things together, but every time I tried to get close to her emotionally, she would back away. Whenever I found myself giving up, she would come back to me and beg me with her stunning eyes looking into mine to “just give it some time”. It lasted so long that I made up a word, “Rebop” to describe the yo-yo I felt like while trying get close to her. It was the ultimate frustration, but she was the ultimate pleasure to be with. The constant push and pull of her affections left me feeling like an emotional yo-yo. Just when I thought I had given up, she would draw me back in with her captivating gaze and pleas for more time.
