In the early 2000s, E.M.A.G. Records was founded in Fort Wayne, Indiana with a goal of making Easy Money Always Good. It was from this label that ParaFaNailia emerged – a hip-hop duo consisting of brothers Tyran “Sk” Griggs and Lee “Good” Griggs. With a strong passion for music and a desire to break free from the street life they grew up in, the Griggs brothers moved their family to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue their dream in the music industry. ParaFaNailia’s Journey
Good and Sk have been doing music for over a decade now. Good has been making music since the age of 11, while Sk got into producing music at the age of 14. The brothers’ upbringing in the hood of Fort Wayne exposed them to the harsh realities of street life. However, they chose to pursue a better way of life through music.
ParaFaNailia has won various awards and performed at numerous festivals, including the Southside showdowns and 3Rivers festivals in Fort Wayne. They have also opened up shows for notable artists such as Scarface, 12 gauge, Dem Franchise Boys, Ice-T, and Bun B.
The group’s influences stem from the pioneers of Hip-Hop such as Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, Rakim, Public Enemy, and Scarface. They also look up to newer artists like Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey Hussle, and J-Cole. ParaFaNailia’s music aims to spread positivity and realism. They want to redefine the meaning of Hip-Hop as a culture and not just a music genre.
