Although the single sticks to the easy pace reminiscent of their previous work, this sound is fresh and cleaner than the more indie folk, psychedelic or garage surf rock influenced music presented before.
“Whatever, Man” has a strong start with easy going yet catchy guitars painting a blue sky for the listener. The vocals come in supported by melodic sweet harmonies showing off the range of the band while the lead vocal shows that he can resonate well through artful phrasing.
